Lovely Songs

So... I was thinking about this world and how hard it is, and how sometimes it feels like you just want to give up and don't want to try anymore well... I was thinking about that and how sometimes it's hard to lean on the Lord. And as I was thinking about this I heard this song last night on my way to a bonfire in Provo Canyon and I just love the word's to it Especially when it says "Don't Give Up, It's Just The Weight Of The World." and I was thinking... how true that is! We can't give up. It's only the weight of the world. Our Savior died for us, taking on the whole weight of the world and all it's burdens. He can take away all that pain because he's already taken it. We just need to let him. It's like the Savior is holding out his hands saying, pour all your burdens into them because I've taken them already. You don't need to keep holding on to them because I already have. So don't give up on everything because you feel like you can't keep going with all your trials. You are loved, and you've been saved by the Almight Lord. Keep going, and lean on Him along the way, for He will help thee cross the plains of your trials.

Here's the Song

You Are Loved (Don't Give Up)

Don't give up

It's just the weight of the world
When your heart's heavy I
I will lift it for you

Don't give up
Because you want to be heard
If silence keeps you I
I will break it for you

Everybody wants to be understood
Well I can hear you

Everybody wants to be loved
Don't give up

Because you are loved

Don't give up
It's just the hurt that you hide
When you're lost inside I
I'll be there to find you

Don't give up
Because you want to burn bright
If darkness blinds you I
I will shine to guide you

Everybody wants to be understood
Well I can hear you

Everybody needs to be loved
Don't give up

Because...you are loved

Don't give up
It's just the weight of the world
Don't give up
Everyone needs to be loved

You are loved

I love that song. And I find Josh Groban's Music to be absolutely beautiful. Especially that song. Because if you read that song; don't think of it in a man's point of view to a woman, but think of it from the Lord's point of view to every single person here in the world. No matter where they come from, or what aspect of life they have lived in or are living right this minute. (because usually people look at songs and think of them as love songs :P)

I know how you feel, I can remember a lot of times especially when I was your age feeling like I just wanted to give up and that I had the weight of the world on my shoulders. But you can't! Alma talks about the trial of faith and that how after the trial there is the reward, that is so true. this life is about making choices and you will not always make the right one, but likewise you will not always make the wrong one either. I have found in my life experiences that the rewards are greater, that they build with time. I cannot think of any reward greater then my family, But to hear your child say their first word is another reward stacked upon the reward of my family, collectively increasing the reward. I hope that makes sense and that I don't seem to be rambling. I guess my overall point is that you have become a very wonderful young woman. You should be very proud of who you are. don't let life beat you down because you (all of us) are stronger then this life God made you that way. the worst trials that we face are the ones that we place in front of ourselves. If we create them we can defeat them.
Love Uncle Paul.

Paul said that better then anything i could say. Your comment reminded me of a time when ralph and i were trying to get the boys over here from england. Everything seemed against us, even the judge was having an affair with his sectary and we couldnt use certain things like that against ex hubbys in case it offended the judge. I remember one day just driving down the road before we flew to england and just crying and thinking maybe i should just leave well alone and that i was causing more problems in there life by trying to get them out here. Then on the radio a song came on by kate bush, whos a cockney girl like me (and who when i lived in england and had the same hairstyle i got asked a few times if i was her, lol) so i kinda liked her at that time, and the song was one of hers that was about Not giving up too, the words were so haunting and at the same time i felt the spirit so strong around me, that i just knew that was the answer i was looking for. We went to england, the night before the trial the judge got stomach flu, and was replaced my a jewish judge who was very strong on family and raising children with a strong background in a church. You tell me that wasnt the lords hand at work. He tells us that he will never give us anything stronger then we can bare and althought at times i questioned it then, he came thought for me when i needed him too. It was just on his time not mine.
Remember the song you heard anytime your having a hard time, i belive it came on for a reason just as mind did.
Your a great person, you have a whole wonderful life ahead of you. And a large family that love you and will always be there for you.
